Açaí
(Yasa’i = Crying Fruit)
Açaí berries originate from the Amazon
rainforest. They have been a staple food source
for indigenous tribes in the Amazon, for centuries.
Due to their unique properties, they act like an
energy booster, combating fatigue and
increasing energy levels. They grow on açaí palm
trees, and the majority of açaí production comes
from wildplants. “Açaí” means “crying fruit”,
referring to the liquid expelled by the berries during
the pulp extraction process.
Açaí contains a high concentration of
antioxidants, such as anthocyanins, which protect
cells from damage caused by free radicals,
helping combat premature cell and tissue aging,
and promoting a youthful appearance. It is also
loaded with Essential Fatty Acids (Omega 6 and
Omega 9), which play a fundamental role in
maintaining skin health, as key energy sources
for cellular metabolism.
